Investor Profile & Portfolio Review
Discovering each client’s profile as an investor is a crucial first step in portfolio development. Andina can help craft a personalized investment policy statement to serve as a road map to investment decision making. Often a review of your current portfolio using Andina’s proprietary Performex® analytics software reveals useful insights in this discovery process, helping a client answer the question: Does your current portfolio accurately represent your personal investment profile and stated objectives?

The goal of proper asset allocation is to achieve a portfolio that matches investment risk profile and objectives. The careful blending of a wide variety of asset classes such as stocks, bonds, hedge funds, private credit, private real estate, precious metals and private equity can yield a truly diversified portfolio. However, we are aware of fallacies regarding certain diversification strategies. Easy access to investments in public markets around the globe creates the ability to easily invest in many markets. Excessive use of these investment instruments may give the appearance of portfolio diversification, but actually offer little practical diversification due to high correlation of these assets. Also, we believe that some asset classes that have typically offered defensive qualities in asset allocation strategies may not provide the same quality of protection under certain market conditions.

Our investment committee is dedicated to the process of identifying, evaluating, and integrating diverse investment strategists into client portfolios. Andina uses a rigorous, five-step due diligence process to qualify strategies and managers. Considerations such as full market-cycle performance, correlation to markets, liquidity, custody, and fees are just a few of the important attributes analyzed for a manager to be selected. Measures such as background checks and site visits are also incorporated into the due diligence process to protect client funds.
