Jay manages a variety of operational and analytical functions for the private equity/venture capital portfolios of Andina clients via the independent operations known as The K Fund, LP and The K Fund II, LP. These responsibilities include managing portfolio accounting, originating and monitoring deal flow, and preparing research, due diligence, financial modeling, and investment memoranda.
Jay's prior experience has been primarily in investment research and analysis, and he has held analytical roles across several business settings. Prior to joining The K Funds, Jay was a senior associate at the investment banking and advisory firm Riverford Partners, where he evaluated and advised on public investments in the energy industry. At BCA Research, he was part of the team that built and launched Geopolitical Strategy, the financial industry's first investment research service to integrate geopolitical, macroeconomic, and financial theory. Previously, he was an economics analyst for Stratfor, a geopolitical analysis firm and risk consultancy firm based in Austin, TX.
Jay holds bachelor's degrees in Applied Mathematics and English Literature, and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
